Helmets are typically a difficult thing to do. not because of any design limitation, but simply applying the vinyl to the shape. This one went on with a lot less time than most. I attribute it to the fact that it was not covering the whole helmet. usually the issues start when you approach the half way point, where the design would be meeting it's mirror image on the other side. not only does the material begin to wrinkle, but you have to come up with some element to resolve the overlap. check one here for just avoiding the problem.

Goalie Helmet/Mask Graphics
Custom goalie mask for Megan Spooner.
because the template changes for every size and make we have to have the helmet in store, so we can template it. once we have done that, making the graphics is easy.

It's that time of year again folks. That time where we update the company website. This is the cover page for the website so far. there will be a set of buttons near the top to send you to the motocross and sled graphics, and another to the commercial signage. What the site looks like now, is relative to when you read this, but this is today's direction. visit us at www.printwerx.ca

Helmet Graphics - Vinyl
I don't think I'll be going this again. Or I won't be advertising that we can do it anyways. It is hard as can be to do. and it's mostly guess work. If I were to do a helmet again, I certainly hope that it is one with more ridges and dips. Then I can template it, and install it in parts. Doing it all as one print is no easy stretch. Pun intended.
Update: The customer has been so happy with this design that they have ordered it 2 more times since. I adjusted the design slightly to improve the install, but otherwise it looks the same. The biggest benefits to the more recent installs have been innovation in the materials available, and a second set of hands to hold the helmet in place while installing.
